Shahzad Khan, Founder & Executive Managing Director
Shahzad Khan is an executive managing director at Broadway Energy where he oversees major commodities trading and funding transcations.
Mr. Khan has over 25 years of banking experience in the commercial & corporate and capital market. Mr. Khan and his team support the financial requirements of organizations in sectors including Knowledge Based Industry (KBI), Retail, Real Estate, Logistics, Transportation, Not-For-Profit (NFP), Energy, Public Sector and Healthcare.
Mr. Khan has also advised major firms on planning for future expansion and growth and strongly believes in establishing good long-term relationships where he is always available for further advice and assistance on an ongoing basis.
Mr. Khan has been active in the financial services industry since 2004 and secured his MBA from the University of Wales in 2012.
Mr. Khan has always been recognized by colleagues and clients for his natural leadership, passion for structured finance, a deep insight into the forever evolving financial markets and his positive attitude towards developing practical solutions to address even the most perplexing financial problems. Deepak Joshi, Co-Founder, Vice Chairman & Managing Director
Mr. Joshi's extensive professional journey spans across a variety of domains, amassing over 35 years of diverse and impactful experience. His expertise encompasses sectors ranging from administration and marketing to mining, oil and gas, fertilizer production, waste-to-clean energy, housing, and real estate.
Since 2019, Mr. Joshi has been actively involved in the implementation of Polycrack technology, particularly for municipalities and waste-to-energy projects. As a spearhead of this initiative, he has played a pivotal role in transforming hydrocarbons into clean and sustainable energy solutions.
In 2022, Mr. Joshi assumed a significant role as a facilitator and consultant for a prominent Middle Eastern group in Oman. His responsibilities include overseeing the establishment of two substantial projects: Potash and food-grade Phosphate, which entail an investment exceeding 700 million dollars.
Previously, Mr. Joshi held leadership positions as Vice-Chairman and Chairman in the oil and gas sector within the Middle East from 2009 to 2020. During his tenure, he spearheaded initiatives in the oil shale sector and championed technologies that transform waste into clean energy sources.

Chayan Chakrabarty, PhD, MBA. Executive Director, New Products
Dr. Chayan Chakrabarty is a highly accomplished and respected figure in the energy industry, bringing over three decades of extensive experience marked by leadership in various senior executive capacities. Currently, he holds the pivotal roles of President, CEO, and Director for a prominent international energy corporation headquartered in Canada, demonstrating his continued influence and strategic oversight within the global energy landscape.
His career trajectory showcases a consistent progression of high-impact roles. Prior to his current engagement, Dr. Chakrabarty served as the Vice President, International, at Daylight Resources Trust, a significant Canadian oil and gas producer. This company was later acquired by Sinopec Canada, a testament to its value. Before his tenure at Daylight Resources, he held a senior executive position at Verenex Energy, an international exploration and production company with active operational presences in both France and Libya, highlighting his expertise in diverse international markets and complex operational environments.
Earlier in his distinguished career, Dr. Chakrabarty was the Senior Vice-President at Ross Smith Energy Group, where he was responsible for directing independent upstream energy research. This critical work served North American financial institutions, providing them with essential insights and analysis for investment and strategic decision-making in the energy sector. Preceding this, he played an instrumental role in coordinating the management of domestic and international oil and gas production operations for PanCanadian Energy. In this capacity, he provided invaluable counsel to the company’s Chief Operating Officer, particularly regarding strategic planning and the meticulous evaluation of business performance. During his significant tenure at PanCanadian, Dr. Chakrabarty was also a key member of the team responsible for the groundbreaking R&D field pilot that ultimately led to the full commercialization of one of the earliest Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) developments for heavy oil fields. This pioneering work underscores his direct involvement in technological innovation that has profoundly impacted heavy oil recovery methods.
Dr. Chakrabarty commenced his professional career in Nottingham, U.K., with Golder Associates, a prominent international engineering consulting firm, where he laid the foundation for his extensive expertise in the energy and engineering sectors.
Academically, Dr. Chakrabarty possesses an exceptional educational background that complements his practical experience. He holds a PhD in Petroleum Engineering from the prestigious University of Alberta, providing him with a deep theoretical and scientific understanding of the industry. Over four decades of professional experience in the manufacturing sector, encompassing planning, organization, direction, and evaluation of plant operations, quality assurance, environmental management, refining processes, mining operations, and business development.
Served as a visiting faculty member at Aligarh Muslim University and St. John's College of Engineering and Management, both affiliated with Madras University. Additionally, held membership on the Technical Committee of Caledonian College of Engineering in Muscat, Oman. Guided graduate students in thesis writing within the fields of engineering and management, with a focus on Triple Bottom Line and Corporate Social Responsibility accountability in manufacturing. Developed and implemented quality and environmental manuals and procedures to achieve ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and American Petroleum Institute quality certifications.
Possess extensive hands-on experience in reviewing internal business processes while considering external interfaces to identify and develop improvement programs. Performed the role of Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications. Proficient in EFQM, Six Sigma, and TQM concepts, as well as pollution prevention, air pollution control, wastewater monitoring, and treatment. Conducted air quality monitoring and environmental impact assessments, and performed risk and hazard analyses for OHSAS18001 certification. Keith D'Souza, Director & Chief Financial Officer
Keith is a versatile finance professional with more than two decades of diverse experience. He has worked in a variety of geographies, industries and roles across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East; in Energy, Manufacturing, Retail / Distribution, Pharmaceuticals and Entertainment. Roles broadly encompass Controllership, Internal / External Audit and SOX Compliance and include big-4 Management experience. Keith is a seasoned communicator, with extensive experience communicating with and presenting before C-Suites, Executive / Senior Management and Boards of Directors.
Keith divides his time between Calgary, AB and Houston, TX. In Calgary, Keith is the Treasurer of the McKenzie Towne Council, a Director on its Board, the Chair of its Finance / HR Committee and a member of its Executive Committee.
Keith is professionally designated as a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (licensed in Alberta), a US Certified Public Accountant (licensed in Colorado) and a Chartered Accountant in India. . .
Dale Greene, B.Sc, P.Eng, Industrial Engineering, Technical Advisor
Dale Greene earned a degree in manufacturing engineering from the University of Calgary in 2000. He spent 5 years working in the manufacturing industry before transitioning to the oil and gas industry where he has spent 15+ years in progressive roles including senior engineer, lead engineer and engineering manager. He currently manages a team of professionals for a professional engineering firm and is responsible for delivering success on large scale energy storage projects that range in cost from $15 to $100 MM.
In 2021, Dale founded EverGreen. The focus of the organization is to provide customers with world class supply chain management and logistics solutions, in a manner that meets the customer's needs, while placing the highest emphasis on integrity, quality, leadership, and efficiency in the services we provide. Evergreen will service the growing oil and gas sector of Guyana to help create a world class industry for current and future generations.
Community focus is important to Dale, he makes sure to leave time in his schedule to give back to the community. He is currently the Vice President of the Caribbean Community Council of Calgary.
